Lampara Encendida (Lit Lamp)

6:30pm–7:30pm — Tuesdays

Radio Program LadiesA group of friends were sitting around a dining room table last November discussing possibilities of how we can spread the word around the world through Our Planet Live which is Webb Chapel's sponsored LIVE radio program. One idea clearly stood out. Why are most of our sermons mostly about great men? Where are the extraordinary women in the Bible? Just to name a few, what can you tell me about Sarah, Ruth, Rahab, Hannah, Lydia, Mary Magdalene, Mary of Bethany, Mary and Martha, the Samaritan Woman and, of course, the mother of all: Eve? During the last 12 weeks, we have discussed the lives of these great women whose faith in Jesus have been shown in scripture. The Samaritan woman who nobody wanted to be near was selected by Jesus to whom he revealed to her who HE is (John 4:26). After Jesus was resurrected, he first appeared to Mary Magdalene. There are no coincidences; God has a plan with each and everyone of us. He uses women in his ministry in vast ways that are unimaginable. Little ways or magnificent ways; he does use them too. How are we being used for his kingdom?

Radio Program LadiesIf you want to join us, we invite you to listen LIVE every Tuesday 6:30pm-7:30pm CST. The LIVE broadcast is in Spanish so, if you want to learn the language, this is a great way to practice your skills to help spread the word to others. The collaborators are: Elvia Chavez, Alma Mireles, Olivia Contreras, & Rosie Acosta with Antonio Acosta being the facilitator in the control room. We have had guests participate in the show: Norma Hernandez, Paulina Henson, Maricela Obiedo, and Elvira Hernandez. We started a new series last week called "Swimming Against the Current" where we will be discussing issues that affect us every day as Christians. We first began talking about "God's Great Love For Us." For the last week in August, we will be discussing "Placing Our Eyes On Our Father." We have had people listen in from Mexico, Canada, Venezuela, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Peru, Honduras, the U.S., and probably other areas as well.

We encourage you to use this medium to invite all of your Spanish speaking friends (men & women) to join us and listen to God's word. We are LIVE on Tuesdays 6:30pm-7:30pm on Our Planet Live.
